Shibori is a resist dyeing technique with origins in Japan. Shibori techniques can be grouped into 3 categories. Rokechi, wax resists; Kokechi, tied or bound resists; and Kyokechi, resists where fabric is folded and clamped between two carved wooden blocks. Shibori sarees, Salwar Suits and Kurtas have a distinctive look and are very popular with style conscious women.
