Odisha Ikats
Odisha Ikat saris are mainly woven in Western Odisha, Cuttack districts. Pochampally (Telengana) and Gujarat (Patan Patola) are two more famous Ikat weaving centres in India. Ikat is a resist dyeing technique where yarn is "tied" and "dyed" prior to dyeing, weaving fabric. Because design is created in yarn itself, both sides of Ikat sarees are patterned.
