Khadi is a hand spun and hand woven natural fibre clothing material. Odisha Khadi saris have a unique Odisha weaver design aesthetic. Khadi sarees are usually made from cotton and also from silk or wool. Fibres are spun into yarn using a spinning wheel called Charkha. Khadi is cool in summer and warm in winter. Highly regarded in fashion circles, it is used to make Saris, Kurtas and Dhotis.
