Kota Saris popularly known as “Kota Doria” are almost transparent saris made from pure cotton or silk.  This saris gets its name from the town of “Kota” where it was initially woven. These beautiful saris are soft to touch and have serrated edges.  They are woven on traditional pit looms and the fabric is woven in such a way that it has as square checks patterning.   Traditional Kota Saris were woven using a blend of cotton & silk.  The cotton gave these saris their strength and the silk gave them a sheen

The Material is now using in Saris, Salwar Suits & Apparel and there are 3 different variants – printed kotas, woven kotas and zari embellished Kota.
