Banarasi or Benarasi Weaving is one of the oldest and most versatile weaving clusters in the Indian Subcontinent. Zari & Brocade textiles are the specialties of Banaras. The saris of Banaras are named after the motifs – shikargarh, ada bel (foliage motifs), kalga (floral) and more. Banarasi saris are also woven in different materials – Pure Silk (Katan), Organza (Kora) and Georgettes.
Silk in its various forms (Tussar, Mulberry, Eri, Noil & more) is one of the strongest and most desired natural fabrics in the world. In India, Silk holds a special place of pride as the fabrics for weddings, festivals & special occasions
