True to its name 'Jullaaha' – which means weaver in Urdu, the brand concentrates on connecting Indian artisans and weavers to a global audience through its designs. The brand identifies the skill and creativity of our faceless artisans and guide them in creating relevant designs for the modern day women combining the contemporary and ethnic.
Jullaaha originated from the love and devotion of its Founder Jayadevi Cholayil towards Indian textiles. Through this venture of hers, she educates destitute women about the nuances of our textile crafts and also involves them in the preparation of natural and organic handmade personal care products. This provides them the means for a stable income and gives them a sense of belonging and financial independence. By collaborating with the Banyan and Cholayil Groups, Jaya has created a truly sustainable business that has been recognized and praised widely. Awards such as the “Woman entrepreneur of the year” from FICCI are a testament to her accomplishment as a sustainable organization leader.
